Eugene

Eugene was the love of my life. I rescued her from the basement of an Italian bakery on Mulberry Street in Manhattan. When I went downstairs to see the cats and kittens they all ran except for her and she came up and smacked my ankle. So basically she chose me. She was a little devil from the beginning. One night when I got home from waitressing, I put my money on the bed and then it disappeared, the little Eugene had taken it. When Eugene was about 16 she became ill. The last year of her life was a special one. She was needy, demanding and always had to be with my husband and myself and let me just say I LOVED IT. When it was time for her to leave we were devastated. She was a very very special cat and will always have a place in our hearts and memories.
